Many are familiar with Arnica as a popular homeopathic remedy used for pain and bruising. As allopathic physicians began to use it for their post-surgical patients, it gained acceptance. A study published in a 2016 issue of the American Journal of Therapeutics, titled “Effectiveness and Safety of Arnica montana in Post-Surgical Setting, Pain and Inflammation” found that “Cumulative evidence suggests that both Arnica in gel formulation and in homeopathic dilutions are more effective than placebo in treating several inflammatory conditions, in pain management and postoperative settings.”
Arnica is an amazing homeopathic remedy but it’s not the only one. NEWTON homeopathics® Accident~Injury Rescue is an extraordinary comprehensive homeopathic complex that contains Arnica, but many other remedies for other aspects of injury are indicated. Unlike allopathic drugs, whose actions are based on clinical trials, homeopathic remedy indications and uses are based on traditional homeopathic practice. Unlike allopathic drugs, our products have not been evaluated by the FDA and have not been evaluated for medical evidence. Accordingly in traditional homeopathic practice, Calendula is included as indicated for open wounds, Ruta for tendons, Symphytum for bones, Echinacea for burns, Ledum for puncture wounds, Hypericum for nerves, and Staphysagria for muscles. It includes Aconitum which is best known for chills preceding a fever but, in this formula, it is included as it is indicated for fear.
I believe this is a complex that should be in every medicine cabinet. When you experience an injury is not the time to run to the store and get the complex. Having it handy will enable you to begin taking it immediately. As an extra bonus, NEWTON homeopathics® liquid complexes are preserved in certified organic non-GMO alcohol and have no expiration date. The pellet version, made using certified organic, non-GMO, lactose-free cane sugar, is also exempt from bearing an expiration date.
And remember to think outside the box; don’t just think of accidental injury. Homeopathy is not recognized or approved as a preventative, but I choose to take the Accident-Injury Rescue before and after getting my teeth cleaned. Cleaning involves the bone (Symphytum officinale), nerve (Hypericum perforatum), open wound (Calendula officinalis), pain and bruising (Arnica montana), puncture wounds (Ledum palustre), and in my case, fear (Aconitum napellus). Consider taking it when undergoing surgery or other traumatic medical procedures. I always have a bottle in my car. My step-children, who are both athletes, always have a bottle in their gym bags. I keep a bottle in the kitchen and a bottle in the medicine chest. When I travel by plane, I always have a pellet version in my carry-on baggage.
I take it immediately at the onset of injury and take it frequently as needed, sometimes every 10-15 minutes. When I take it for teeth cleaning, I take several doses before the cleaning and take a dose one to three times a day after cleaning for a week.
Don’t let an accident catch you unprepared. It is said, “Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.” Get ready now and stay ready by stocking up on Accident-Injury Rescue.
