Let’s Pretend

This article focuses on a few athlete-targeted NEWTON homeopathics® complexes. You may not swim like Michael Phelps, bend like Simone Biles, run like Jesse Owens, or have muscles like Lee Haney. (Fun Fact: Even though most people think of Arnold Schwarzenegger (Austria) as Mr. Olympia, he scored only seven wins. Lee Haney of South Carolina won eight consecutive titles.)

Even though you may not be a professional, pretend you are. You also have muscles, skin, tendons, and joints to care for. Your livelihood may not depend on their health and optimum function, but how many 70-year-olds complain about their aches and pains, attributing them to body abuse from when they were young athletes? Consider the following complexes.

The NEWTON homeopathics® Sports Recovery complex is formulated for workout recovery and symptoms associated with injury, overexertion, and emotional distress. Based on traditional homeopathic practice,  Sports Recovery contains such remedies as Arnica (mountain daisy), Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel), and Bellis perennis (daisy) indicated for soreness. Ledum palustre (wild rosemary), Rhus tox (poison ivy), and Bryonia (wild hops) are indicated for stiffness. Calendula officinalis (marigold) is indicated for muscle pain, and Chamomilla (German chamomile) and Gelsemium sempervirens (yellow jasmine) are indicated for cramps. Apis mellifica (honey bee) is specifically indicated for soreness after overexertion. Ruta graveolens (garden rue) is indicated for fatigue following prolonged exercise, and Staphysagria (stavesacre) is indicated for extremities that feel beaten and painful. Sports Recovery also contains Sarcolacticum acidum, homeopathically prepared sarcolactic acid, indicated for muscular weakness. According to WebMD, “Lactic acidosis caused by intense exercise is usually temporary. It happens when too much acid builds up in your bloodstream.”
