If you have animals, I know you care about their mental health and comfort as well as their physical health. We have lots of animals – dogs, chickens, goats, horses and peacocks. My husband is a cowboy from Texas, so well versed in taking care of horses and other animals. I was raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and could drive a tractor long before I drove a car. We didn’t know homeopathy back-in-the-day but now we always use homeopathy with our animals as our first line of defense.
One of the complexes we use is the Newton Pets Nervousness-Fear complex. It is a unique formula different than the Newton Nervousness-Anxiety complex and the Newton Stage Fright-Fear complex for adults. I used it for Miss America, my German Shepherd, when I traveled with her when on the road. If she didn’t get it before bedtime, she would pace from one side of the bed to the other, always on guard. A couple doses and we could both sleep through the night.
Using the Materia Medica, referenced by those practicing traditional homeopathy, we’ll examine some of the more common indications for a few of the twenty single remedies included in the complex. For example, according to traditional homeopathic practice, Gelsemium and Sepia are indicated when symptoms are worse before a thunderstorm. Theridion and Zincum are indicated for an inclination to be startled. Argentum nitricum and Kali bromatum are indicated for fear and Valeriana and Coffea cruda are indicated for one who is oversensitive. Chamomilla is used for being snappish, whining, crying and howling and Magnesia phosphorica and Nux vomica for twitching, trembling and jerking. It is a very comprehensive complex.
Consider the Newton Pets Nervousness-Fear complex if s/he is from a shelter and has perhaps been exposed to emotional trauma. Consider giving the complex before thunderstorms or fourth of July celebrations occur, if your pet is afraid of loud noises. Does your pet seem generally nervous or anxious? Is your pet afraid to go to the vet for his/her rabies shot or the groomer for her/his nail clipping? Consider the Newton Pets Nervousness-Fear complex.
Remember, homeopathy does not do the healing, your body does. In addition to homeopathy, equip your pet with the proper food, supplements, vitamins and exercise to accomplish optimum balance.
